We’ve been bridging the gap between design, construction, and operations since our launch in 2013. Our specialty is complicated infrastructure, commissioning, and program management of construction-related services. We assess, plan, deliver, and maintain buildings by leveraging expertise in every building system; quite simply, we make buildings work. It’s in our name — we are a solution-oriented partner committed to finding answers to your toughest building problems — and we haven’t found a building problem we can’t fix yet.
WHERE WE STARTED
Henderson Building Solutions came to life in 2013 through the acquisition of Corporate Energy Consultants (CEC) giving Team Henderson the ability to perform turnkey design and construction services and strengthening our commissioning expertise. In 2017 we officially changed our name to Henderson Building Solutions working with our sister company, Henderson Engineers, to provide construction management experience and engineering expertise under one roof.
RAPID GROWTH
Backed by Henderson’s national network and presence, we set out on a decade of growth expanding our service offerings, branching out to new industries and markets, growing our team, and welcoming new leadership. With 30 years of industry experience, Steve Hancock was named president in 2021 and set out to deliver top-notch solutions for our clients and partners. 2021 also saw Henderson become a 100% employee-owned (ESOP) company making our employees beneficial owners of stock in Henderson.
CELEBRATING A DECADE
We celebrated our 10th anniversary in 2023 with $74 million in gross annual revenue, a 135% year-over-year increase. To support our exponential growth, we established four new executive management roles to better support our clients and help lead us to continued national growth in the years to come. Our growth is a testament to our team’s client-first commitment and gives us momentum for the decade ahead.
