CityLine’s developer, KDC, engaged Henderson Building Solutions to commission State Farm’s four-building campus, which has a 4,800-ton water cooled central plant employing four chillers piped in a series pair arrangement. The central plant provides cooling for more than 35 air handling units across the 186-acre site. The electrical service is provided through a medium voltage distribution system powered by four 2.5 megawatt diesel generators.

Because our partnership with KDC goes beyond the scope of traditional commissioning, we verified complex controls and optimization sequences to ensure efficiency. The buildings have an emergency power system that was put through a full "black site" (loss of power) test. The campus was run through a complete radio frequency test to confirm first responder communication would operate in the case of an emergency.

Living up to its motto, State Farm is there to help life go right, which we understand, because that’s how we feel about building life.
