Polsinelli has seen accelerated growth since getting its start in Kansas City nearly 50 years ago. When Polsinelli built a new headquarters in Kansas City to house 450 employees and support its thriving legal practice, the firm selected Henderson Building Solutions as its commissioning agent.
Developing Plaza Vista, the firm’s new headquarters, called for tearing down and rebuilding a 10-story office building, and adding six floors of underground parking. Henderson Building commissioned the building systems which included water cooled chillers, dedicated outdoor air systems for temperature and humidity, and variable air volume handlers with electric reheat. We also incorporated pressurization systems for the stairwells and elevators shafts.
Most of Plaza Vista is occupied by Polsinelli employees, along with restaurant and retail space on the first floor, and room for more tenants on the second floor. It’s an impressive structure for a legal practice that started with one office and a few employees, and is now a nationally recognized firm with 17 offices and a team of more than 600.
