One of ten regional HCA Midwest hospitals, Research Medical Center boasts a comprehensive list of services dedicated to improving human life. The hospital hosts 590 beds and 2,700 employees. The current Research Medical Center facility was opened in 1963 and was praised by President Truman as "a great institution for health." In alignment with their vision to be a premier healthcare destination, Research began implementing aesthetic and infrastructure improvements.

The fire alarm system serving the hospital was quickly becoming too small to accommodate growth. New code requirements and building reclassification escalated the priority of this project. Henderson's facility assessment recommended a phased improvement plan to replace damaged equipment and address new code requirements.

The new system replaced all wiring and notification devices. Its controls make it more sophisticated than the previous system. Henderson's field team ensured successful installation and operation before removing the old components. Hospital operation was not impacted by this project and it never lost fire alarm service.
