Jon Runyan

Loyal, thoughtful, and full of fresh ideas - Jon Runyan is the kind of leader who makes you feel heard, valued, and inspired to do your best. As President of Henderson Building Solutions, Jon brings more than 20 years of construction management experience and a personal leadership style that’s already making waves across the organization. Jon joined Team Henderson in August 2025, drawn to our engineer-led design-build approach, national presence, and entrepreneurial spirit. But what really excites him is the opportunity - the chance to grow the organization, elevate our impact, and help shape the future of Henderson Building Solutions. He’s also a big believer in employee ownership and sees our ESOP as a way to control our own destiny and build something lasting together.

Before joining Henderson, Jon held executive roles at Kadean Construction, Luke Draily Construction, The Burman Companies, and Barsto Construction, where he served in roles such as CEO, President, and EVP. He’s known for his work in turnarounds, negotiations, value engineering, and talent development, and holds a degree in Supply Chain Management from Arizona State University. Jon’s leadership philosophy is simple: Develop individuals in line with their interests and talents, set clear expectations, and then trust them to do the right thing. He’s passionate about early client involvement, building trust, and creating partnerships that go beyond the job site. Outside of work, Jon’s a big golfer and traveler. He enjoys a good workout, spending time with his family, watching the Chiefs and Royals, and he loves a cherry Pop-Tart just as much as he loves a good power dinner. He prefers to do his own home, yard, and car maintenance with a playlist ranging from James Taylor and John Denver to 311 and Eminem, Jon brings both heart and humor to everything he does.
