LENEXA, Kan. — Henderson Building Solutions, the construction management subsidiary of Henderson Engineers, has hired Scott Crain as senior construction manager. Crain is a licensed professional engineer with nearly three decades of engineering, design, and construction experience within the public and private sectors. In his new role, he will oversee the planning, designing, and scheduling of construction on projects from start to finish to ensure specifications are met and completed on time and within budget.

“It’s a pleasure to welcome Scott as the newest construction management expert on our team,” said Steve Hancock, Henderson Building’s managing director. “Not only does he have the technical expertise to elevate our services and processes, he also brings key business development experience that will be valuable as we continue to grow. We’re excited for his contributions to our team and for our clients.”

Crain previously served as senior project manager at Affinis Corp, a civil engineering, surveying, and consulting services firm based in Overland Park, Kan. Before that, he was the director of design and construction for Blue Valley School District, one of the largest school districts in the Kansas City region. He has vast experience coordinating design and overseeing construction on new buildings, renovations, mechanical systems replacements, lighting retrofits, civil sites, and more.

Crain holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kan. He is a proud member of the Kansas Society of Professional Engineers, the American Council of Engineering Companies of Kansas (ACEC of Kansas), and the National Society of Professional Engineers.
