Brandon Kersting, a commissioning technician/assistant project manager with Henderson Building Solutions, recently earned the AABC Commissioning Group (ACG) Certified Commissioning Technician (CxT) accreditation.

To obtain the CxT certification, Kersting passed an exam on the knowledge, skills, and expertise required to assess, test, and evaluate building systems for technical performance. The exam covered pre-functional and functional testing, mechanical system troubleshooting, preparing commissioning reports, job site safety, equipment calibration, and testing and balancing control systems.

“Brandon consistently goes above and beyond in providing commissioning solutions for our clients,” said Jon Jensen, senior commissioning technician for Henderson. “He promotes the team concept to help ensure projects move forward, assists with difficult, unforeseen issues, and provides solutions to give clients and end users full value of their respective systems.”

Kersting, based in Henderson’s Las Vegas office, has been an integral member of the Henderson team since he joined the firm in 2019. He thrives in providing solutions to resolve issues for both construction management and commissioning projects.

A native of Anaheim, Kersting attended Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, California. Away from the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, playing hockey, camping, snowboarding, and fishing.

Jensen earned the AABC Commissioning Group (ACG) Certified Commissioning Agent (CxA) accreditation earlier in 2020. These certifications solidify Kersting and Jensen as experts in their field and demonstrate their commitment to clients and their interests.
