AHU Modification - TriStar Skyline Medical Center

TriStar Skyline Medical Center houses 233 beds and offers a wide variety of acute care services. When they experienced issues with temperature and humidity in some of their operating rooms, they called Henderson Building Solutions. Our team assessed the two air handling units (AHUs) that serve the operating rooms concluding that the AHUs were sized appropriately and in good working order. Further investigation of the chilled water system was not able to properly cool and dehumidify the air.

Our team proposed installing a glycol cooled chiller that would serve both AHUs and the subsequent operating rooms. By incorporating this piece of equipment and making minor modifications to the AHU, we were able to deliver the proper humidity and temperature to the 10 operating rooms supplied by the equipment.
